Compliance confirms that an equipment has passed all tests required to ensure that it has been designed and manufactured in such a way that its physical characteristics are guaranteed to meet the minimum requirements specified by a recognized authority. 

A Proof of Compliance is to obtain  certified test results published by an independent competent 3rd party. Proof of Compliance is typically required for telecommunications equipment`s electrical and mechanical characteristics, user safety criteria, electromagnetic properties and materials used in construction.
